Happy Anniversary!

It was our 15th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday and we celebrated it by going down to the sand dunes to ride the quads :). We had such a blast together! It was nice not having to worry about anything but ourselves for a few days. I love this picture!!! I wanted to take a pic with our helmets on because I had Helmet hair and Rob thought that I was being a dork but he humored me anyway, however I thought that I would do a goofy face not telling him that that was what I was doing, but he fooled me and did the exact same thing. His face is funnier than mine, but we still think that we both look like a couple of short buser's! I was once told that the longer your together the more you begin to think alike, and this picture proves it!
Yep! This is me! I was so excited because I actually caught some air. It did however happen by accident at first, but once I did it I didn't want to stop!
Rob catching some air! At the risk of sounding gushy - I have to say that Rob is such a great husband and that I am so thankful for him. How many guys actually take the time to do nice things for their wives like make up little scavenger hunts with notes and gifts, and buy them and their sisters-in-law and mother-in-law flowers, give gift certificates for some new clothes, or even just take the time to write a little letter and stick it in the car or on my pillow to find later? I'm really blessed to have him, and I just wanted to express my gratitude for him! Happy Anniversary Babe!

We left for the weekend a couple of weeks ago (I know it's been a while since I have blogged) with the Barnes family and we had such a great time! The kids are so good at riding and can pretty much ride every where that I can so it makes it a lot of fun!
Gayle and Steve Barnes with Austin enjoying a late night campfire. Gayle and Steve are wonderful friends, more like family actually. They are always looking after us and making sure that we are OK. I'm so thankful for them and for all of our friends and family for being their for us through the difficult times! Oh- I almost forgot Notice the Dew Rag (or however you spell that) that Steve is wearing! I love it!! :)

Build A Bear

Cathy and I decided that for the boys birthday's we would take them to build a bear together, and since the train was newly running and FREE we decided to take that into town. Austin and Matt were so excited to be checked out of school early.
Austin and Matt with their bears ( actually dogs)!
Afterwards we went to Costa and got a salad. They had such a great time together. Cathy and I were exhausted by the time we got home! I wish I had endless amounts of energy like Austin does!!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Breakfast in bed was Swedish pancakes of course and Canadian bacon.
Lunch at McGrath's, Austin's favorite food in the whole wide world is shrimp. He loves it so much that he didn't want to eat any snacks or anything all morning because he was saving his appetite for shrimp!

Austin's comment to the cash he is holding- "Money Rocks"! He has $83 dollars in all!

Pinewood Derby

Austin and Rob putting some graphite on the wheels to make them super slickery!
This was Austin's first Pinewood Derby and he had a great time. Technically he's not really even a scout until his birthday tomorrow but because he would have missed it by only one day they let him participate. I can't believe my baby is a bobcat!

Matt and Austin have the funniest conversations. I've learned that if I try to set them straight then it just becomes the two of them telling me that "I just don't understand what they are saying? Whatever!

Austin: Matt did you know that my cat will live longer than I will?

Matt: It will? How come?

Austin: Because cats have nine lives. They can die 8 times before they HAVE to go see heaven. Then on the 9th time they will
finally kill over.

Matt: Wow! I wish I had nine lives because then I could do lots of crazy stunts and never die for a long time!

Austin: Me too dude!

A couple of hours later this other conversation took place.

Matt: Trent how tall are you?

Trent: Not very tall.

Austin: Matt we're not very tall either.

Matt: So. That just means we'll live longer cuz tall people don't live very long.

Trenten and Austin: Why?

Matt: Because tall people don't have as much oxygen in the air up where they are so they can't breathe as well, so they die
earlier than we do.

Austin: I know, I've heard that before. I think my teacher told me that or something?

Trenten: Didn't say anything to them, he just gave me a silly face, giggled, and rolled his eyes.

Wicked awesome dude!

Monday Rob's mom decided to have the kids play hookie and go snowboarding at Brighton. It was the perfect day, great weather, awesome company, and some really fun memories. She is such a COOL Grammy! They had an absolute blast. I was very impressed as to how well they all did with this sport even picking up on the lingo (wicked awesome dude). By the end of the day I thought that they would be exhausted and ready to go home, but boy was I wrong! They actually rode the lift until it closed, snowboarding back down the mountain as fast as their little legs would let them just so they could hurry up the mountain on the lift one more time before it closed. Thanks Grammy!!!
